Purchasing Original Artwork

  • A curated selection of original paintings is available at Nicole Cromwell Gallery in Carmel-by-the-Sea, with additional available works viewable by request. Nicole's work includes contemporary abstract seascapes, florals, and other coastal-inspired paintings in acrylic, ranging from small studies to large-scale statement pieces.

    If you're looking for a particular size, palette, or style, contact the gallery. Nicole is happy to help identify available pieces that may work for your space.

  • Prices are based on the size of the piece:

    • Under 24": starting around $125

    • 24"–40": $2,400 to $5,000

    • 40" and up: starting around $6500

    Framed pieces and commissioned work are priced separately. Contact the gallery for current pricing on a specific piece or size.

  • Yes. Nicole works with collectors throughout the United States and internationally, including a strong base of collectors in the San Francisco Bay Area and Texas. You don't need to visit the Carmel gallery to purchase an original painting.

    Additional photographs, videos, dimensions, framing information, and digital room mockups can be provided to help you evaluate a painting remotely.

  • Yes. Send a straight-on photograph of your wall along with basic measurements, and Nicole can create a digital mockup showing the approximate scale and placement of the artwork in your space.

  • Yes, payment plans are available for select artwork purchases. Contact the gallery to discuss the painting you're considering and set up an arrangement.

Shipping, Delivery & Framing

  • Yes. Nicole Cromwell Gallery ships to collectors nationwide and can arrange professional shipping or art delivery based on the size, value, and destination of the artwork.

  • Yes, international shipping can be arranged on a case-by-case basis. Contact the gallery with your location and the painting you're considering for a shipping quote.

  • Shipping is selected according to the size and needs of each painting. Smaller works are professionally packed and shipped, while larger works are transported through a professional art delivery service. Shipping and insurance options are discussed before purchase.

  • Yes,. Nicole regularly coordinates professional white glove art delivery and installation for collectors within California, so larger paintings can be safely delivered and installed in their new space.

  • Yes. Canvas paintings are professionally finished and wired for hanging unless otherwise noted.

  • Yes. Custom framing can be coordinated through the gallery. Nicole frequently works with floater frames selected to complement the painting, and can provide framing recommendations and photographs of available options.

Commissions & Professional Projects

  • Yes, on a limited basis each year. Commissions are developed in conversation with the collector, taking into account desired dimensions, palette, placement, and qualities of existing paintings you're drawn to, while remaining consistent with Nicole's artistic style. Contact the gallery to discuss current commission availability.

  • Yes. Nicole works directly with interior designers, art advisors, stagers, and other design professionals sourcing original artwork for residential and commercial projects. Available-work selections, specifications, high-resolution images, digital mockups, framing, delivery, installation, and commissioned artwork can all be coordinated through the gallery.

  • Yes. Nicole has a background as a critical care nurse and now creates original paintings and site-specific collections for healthcare, hospitality, and wellness environments. She is currently under contract for an installation of 25 original paintings for a hospital in Southern California.

  • Yes. Nicole welcomes inquiries from hospitality, corporate, healthcare, and other professional environments seeking original contemporary artwork. Projects may include individual works, groups of paintings, commissioned pieces, or site-specific collections. Visiting Nicole Cromwell Gallery

  • Nicole Cromwell Gallery is located in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, in Su Vecino Courtyard at 575 Dolores Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues. She can be reached at 831-200-1836. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Sunday 11-5.

  • Nicole owns and operates the gallery and is frequently there. Because her schedule varies between the gallery and studio, collectors who would specifically like to meet with her are encouraged to contact the gallery in advance.
